Lego 42150 Technic Monster Jam Monster Mutt Dalmatian RRP £17.99 Exp Retirement date: 31/12/2024
This has been on the 2 for £20 for quite a while now but it is still a great discount, effectively a discount of 44%, a huge discount, there is normally one of these similar sets discounted this, and they do all occasionally go down to this price.
But it is rare seeing this set so hugely discounted.
These have great playability and are really cool-looking sets. Got a few of these trucks up on the shelves at home and they are great to build.
Amazon as I upload have price matched this so can buy one for £10
Lego 41951 Dots message board £17.99 Expected retirement date 31/12/2023
This set looking at retiring this year is a great buy at this price as well, lots of fun to be had with this message board and would say at £10 is very reasonably priced.
Another 44% discount, this is a great price and another ideal one for a Christmas stocking filler, a lot of LEGO for your money

Lego 60384 Penguin slushy van RRP £17.99
This is another hugely popular set (top 1k sales rank on Amazon) and a great price at 44% off, I think this is a huge LEGO set for just £10, similar to other LEGO city sets, there is a lot you can do with these sets, that make them great fun to play with, nice compact with lots of features.
Will be on the market for another year, but not often that you will see it at this great price, other than in this 2 for £20 LEGO deal. Normally at about £14 on Amazon
This is a great buy
75369 Boba fett Mech – RRP £12.99
A brand spanking new star wars set this one, we are used to seeing the Marvel mechs, which are always hugely popular, price marked the same at £12.99 This years main three is Rocket, Hulk and Thanos Mech.
They have always been very popular and great investments, hugely expect these Star Wars sets to be similar.
Three LEGO star wars mechs have been released, and it is very nice to have one already with a decent discount, being priced at £12.99 in a 2 for £20 means this isn’t the biggest discount in comparison to the ones above, but is still very nicely priced, as it is not often (unless on clearances, you see these mechs much lower)
I do think in the future this will settle with other retailers around this price as well, but initially, this will be the best deal around by far.
Very reasonably priced at £10.
76260 Marvel black widow and captain america motorcycle
This is another relatively new set, priced at £12.99 – so another not quite 25% off, But this is another hugely popular set that probably won’t see at much of a bigger discount.
Another fantastic stocking filler, for this price, less LEGO than the likes of the technic monster jam or slushy van. But never the less very well-priced.
Honestly, I would prefer the other two as well as you get more LEGO and build time for your money, but for this and Star Wars you’re paying for the brand, and this is another very nice set. That don’t think you will see much lower than £10
41752 Lego friends sea plane
This one I am less enamoured with, £17.99 the RRP and it seems there is not much that you get for your money, brick for brick. Would probably price this much lower than its current RRP, the analysis on Amazon would view this the same I think, it has progressively reduced in price since release, currently sitting at £12 and is still not selling well for a Lego friends set.
There is definitely a much better LEGO to buy for your money.
But if you are I wouldn’t pay more than £10 so maybe these 2 for £20 make this set a bit more palatable.
43220 Peter Pans and Wendy storybook adventure
Last year we bought the frozen version of this for our daughter, was a really cool set, tucked away really neatly and goes well with the collection of similar books.
Great price discount and very worth it for £10, nice collectable set for kids favourite stories.
10988 Duplo Bus ride
The last set is a Duplo set, so always going to get less for your money, but Duplo is still very popular, this set came out very recently, so is a very new set, a good price to get hands on. Will be an ideal christmas present for the tiny LEGO enthusiasts.
Will have some good playability with the bus and few characters.
Are any of these deals investable?
At the moment, I wouldn’t say that any of these are investable LEGO sets yet, the vast majority don’t retire this year.
Many will go next year but will mean much longer holds, I would hope that the likes of
42150, technic truck
60384 penguin slushy
Will be available at this price still next year.
Buying now would certainly see 100% return when they did retire, but this just means a long hold.
I am also very confident of the new star wars mech sets doing, well, based on how the marvel does and how blooming awesome they look. But again these will still be on the market next year.
These are normally the sets you can pick up at a third to half off in supermarket clearances. Will be on the hunt next year, to snap up, Darth Vader, Boba Fett and strom troopers.
The one you might consider is dots messages board, but I find the LEGO dots as investments a bit hit and miss and think money spent better elsewhere

Conclusion
In conclusion, I think the LEGO 2 for £20 deal is very good, with some brilliant sets at massive discounts. Plenty to snap up. Investment wise less so, as is often the case with these deals, they are focused on the new sets.
