This has been an inspiring week for Lego, as it is the time of year when the trickling of new sets is coming out.
I hope to highlight some of my favourite newly released sets over the next couple of weeks.
Firstly one of my favourite themes. Where the collection is growing bigger and bigger … Speed Champions.
These are always fun little sets to make, priced quite reasonably and great for collectors of cars and children alike. They have great playability. Easy to build. There is a lot to like about the Speed Champions sets.
Now we have 3 exciting new sets to peruse.
Firstly there is a slight increase in the sets, with the smaller sets going up to £20.99 (Inflation is a bitch)
The double set up to £44.99
These three sets are all coming on 1st March so we still have a few months to wait, before we get too excited,
76920 Ford Mustang Dark Horse Sports Car £20.99
The first set is the Ford Mustang Dark Horse
Complete with a female mini figure.
These sets now are much more detailed and this is no different. It looks like a fantastic small build.
Very similar to many of the other Lego Speed Champions we have seen. But nice to see a brand new car fitting with a brand new Lego set.
76921 Audi S1 e-tron quattro £20.99
Another race car, this one more striking with a fantastic spoiler and rear wings. and a very happy and excited minifigure and who could blame them?
A fully electric Audi Quattro which is modelled on another car that was immortalised in Lego 76897 that retired in 2021.
I expect this set to be more popular than the Ford, as it is much more striking, kids would choose this over the ford.
76922 BMW M4 GT3 & BMW M Hybrid V8 Race Cars £44.99
The last of the forthcoming Lego sets is a double. Priced at £44.99
Two exciting cars and 2 minifigures. Always frustrates me that for the double sets, you get a slightly worse value.
The colours on these sets are very striking, I am certainly drawn to them. A very cool racing set that will be on my shelf not long after 1 March if all goes well.
