Back to Hogwarts Promo 2 GWP and Incredible new sets

On the 1st of September, Lego insiders could get early access to some new and exciting sets and gifts with purchases. Lego Harry Potter Back to Hogwarts promo is a celebration of all things Lego Harry Potter.

We have a couple of Huge new sets to review, 2 great gifts with purchase and some discounted retiring Lego Harry Potter sets from lego.com itself, but the big question is are they any good? We shall have a look at all of that throughout this post I would also love to hear your thoughts.

Lego Gringotts bank wizarding collection RRP £369.99

Not all will be able to get their hands on this very expensive set. But those that can are in for a treat. There is so much involved with this set.

This is a very stylish set with lots of unique aspects to it, and excellent detail. It will make for a lovely collector centre piece or with the 13 minifigures, as well as the Ukrainian iron belly Dragon and lots of cool tricks will be very playable as well.

The Level of detail is really cool here, and will fit in nicely with anyone collecting Diagon Alley sets to complete the picture.

Not for the faint-hearted this will take some building 4801 pieces, to make this 30 inches tall set and 13 inches wide, Make sure you have some space to put it.

Your 13 minifigures include Harry Potter™, Rubeus Hagrid, Dragomir Despard, Ron Weasley, Bellatrix Lestrange, Hermione Granger, Griphook, Bogrod, Ricbert, a Death Eater, two goblin bankers and two guards.

Snap this set up if you can at Lego.com – Direct Lego link

This will likely be one that will rarely see discounted being a collectors edition, could also stay on the market for some time, but is less likely to see in many retailers.

40598 Gift with purchase Gringotts Vault

This gift with purchase is a direct companion to the massive Gringotts vault which lets you add another vault.

Gift with purchase gringotts vault 40598

You will need to spend over £135 on Lego Harry Potter sets between now and the 13th September to claim

Anyone who wants the big set will no doubt want this, but I imagine this GWP won’t stay around forever, so could be quite the collector’s piece in time to come.

This is a very detailed gift with purchase, with cool minifigures, a vault and a cart.

Not sure many would want it on its own but nonetheless, is not bad for just spending £135 on Amazon products.

30651 Gift with purchase Quidditch practice

The second GWP is much smaller, you do only need to spend £35 to get it, but it is a small polybag, a nice little addition to a purchase, but nothing spectacular, can currently buy it for less than £7 on Amazon.

Get 20% off if buy 2 house banners with the Lego Bundles

There are four house banners that came out earlier this year, all of which are expected to retire at the end of the year.

If you buy 2 together either Gryffindor and Ravenclaw

And Hufflepuff and Slytherin

Then buying as a bundle you can get 20% off.

However, in all fairness, this is not a great deal, as we have been able to get any of these house banners elsewhere for about £20.

And now I would not want any of them for less than a third off.

I must say however these are very investable sets, they are hugely popular and can be snapped up for a third off or more, which makes them very lucrative. I haven’t bought any yet, but I particularly the Gryffindor house banner I would be on the hunt for to get my hands on before it retires.

Despite the hype this promo is all about the new Gringotts bank, which does look incredible, Let’s face it there are not many who will be able to afford this, but there are plenty who will be saving up to get their hands on it over next couple of years. I hope the GWP addition is available again in the future for anyone hoping to get the big set.

With the house banners definitely get them else where, even at 20% off and the insider points you are still paying above the value of them.
