Which are the best Lego Ninjago sets to invest in 2024?
Lego Ninjago is a great theme to invest in, very popular, a quick seller, and often increases in value after retirement, as we have seen from the recent success stories of 71761 and 71770.
These sets showed the huge potential that from a discount of a third off we could make a very healthy profit, doubling our money quickly. But that being said not all ninjago sets will offer these same returns. You need to focus on particular sets.
First of all, we need to focus on the sets that are retiring in 2024.
As of May, these are the following sets that are scheduled to retire this year.

There are currently 23 sets retiring this year so a big selection but as we said not all will be valid investments so we have picked the best investment to give a shot at doubling our money.

Top sets to invest in for 2024
There are a couple of really great sets to invest in for 2024 that should have a fantastic chance of doubling your money soon after retirement.
71784 Jay’s Lightning Jet Evo £8.99
This is a hugely popular set in the top 500 sales rank for toys and games which is huge. Ensuring tonnes of sales each month.
It is a smaller set so will need a big increase to get that magical return. By I think if we could buy for about a third off. Anywhere near the £6 mark, this will be huge.
If we look at 71761 this was a similar set, in price and size and rank and has performed well in the first 6 months since retirement.
This is currently out of stock at Lego and we may or may not see a decent price drop on this set. Unfortunately, we have never seen a discount on this set before on Amazon. But even if you buy this at full RRP, you will make some money.
The best we have on offer at the moment is the Amazon business price of £7.87 if you buy 10. Amazon link
71790 Imperium Dragon Hunter Hound £18.99
This set sits nicely in a similar sales rank to the lightning jet above, a hugely popular set this one.
This will translate nicely into great returns in 2025.
The good thing about this set is that it has had discounts available, again I would be hoping for about 30% off.
But then again it makes us want a bigger discount, it has been around £14.99 for quite some time, and dipped briefly to £13.99. I would be very happy if could pick this set up at £12-13. Either way, I am very confident of making some good money on this set. But for optimum returns would like a slightly bigger discount.

71791 Zanes dragon power spinjitzu car. £29.99
This set is not quite as popular as the above two, but still very much so, sitting around 3K sales rank, it is a sought-after set, and priced as a mid-range set there is great potential here for profit.
I expect this to do well after retirement having the appeal of people being prepared to pay over the odds. But where it is not quite as quick a seller as the other two, may need some more time to get there.
It has been priced for a while at £24.99 25% off, my target would have to be over a third, putting it below £20 to consider buying.
Currently, the cheapest we have seen it on Amazon is £23.99 so expect this to go quickly if goes below £20.
