How I earned 100% return on 75342 before it even retired

A very popular star wars set this one, but it was exclusive to only a couple of retailers, I believe, disney, it being a star wars set and Tesco. Where was fortunate to pick up a few at discount.
What discount did I get set at?
I managed to pick up a few of these sets up at Tesco for £24 so a very nice discount of 40% off.
This is huge for a set like this.
How long did I hold the set for and what price did I sell for?
I sold this set in Q4 of 2023 so just as it was retiring but out of stock, the demand at christmas time made this a great time to sell.
This made the hold time really short as well.
It was also the optimum time to sell, we sold for £62 making a clear 100% ROI
If we look now however with more on the aftermarket, quite a few have now hit the market, and this has brought the price down to just a little over RRP.
But my advice would be if you are holding any, to send in for Q4 again, as i think we will see £60 + again on this one.
Why did I invest in this set?
This set for me was a no brainer, and was quite fortunate could send in very early but normally would be prepared to hold for a year. We could see although it was exclusive it was still selling quite well on amazon from other sellers.
Also the fact it was exclusive meant that hopefully there would be less people holding it.
But the main thing that made this a no brainer was the discount.
