Lego 6864 Batmobile and two face chase
This set came out in January 2012 and was on the market for 2 years.
Quite an expensive set for the time at £49.99
The conventional sporty-looking Batmobile, with bat wings on the back, fire coming out the exhausts and shootable elements.
The Set has 5 minifigures and some other cool elements, with two face truck, and elements of a bank robbery with a ‘magnet’ attaching to the safe.
You would be lucky to get a new one of these, but as always there are some second-hand options on these sets, In new condition have sold for about £130 on eBay.
Lego 76012 Batman The Riddler chase
In 2014, another Bat car – this time chasing the Riddler, an interesting concept with the Batmobile almost looking like a dark mode F1 car and the Riddler car a drag racer.
3 minifigures in this set, Batman, Riddler and the Flash. Which fits in – F1 v Drag Car v Flash – who is your money on?
Again this set was out for 2 years- retiring end of 2015.
Priced quite cheaply for what you get £29.99,
At the moment if you want new you would be paying about £75 on Amazon. (ad)
Lego 76035 Jokerland
There was a lot to this set, in the scary themeground, with lots of thrill-seeking rides, the batmobile was just one component of this set. Again with the more conventional batmobile like the one we saw in 6864
Again with the telltale fire out of the exhaust and wings on the rear.
8 Minifigures complete this set, and there was so much fun to be had with this set.
Priced at £89.99 on release you will be paying over £220 now on Amazon (ad)
76023 The tumbler
This set came out in September 2014 and left the Market on December 15
One of the biggest Batmobile sets, (other than the current Tumbler) – The first of the Lego sets from the Dark Knight trilogy. Just shy of 2000 pieces. It is quite similar to the current tumblers.
Buying new and sealed on Amazon probably would be paying around £300 but there is not a huge amount of them around, to be honest.
It is very similar to the latest Tumbler 76239
76045 Kyptonite interception
From Batman v Superman – this batmobile is an unusual one, with big chunky wheels, you can tell this is an older set, as it doesn’t have the same attention to detail
Not from the most popular Batman film, which did not transpire into the popularity of the set it was hugely popular whilst on the market, and with an RRP of £29.99, it quickly shot up to double that a year after retirement.
Which retired end of 2017, and since then it has shot up to £80 on Amazon
76119 Batmobile pursuit of the Joker
We go from an expensive set to a much cheaper one, this one just worth £25, looks a bit clunky this set, to be honest, but I really like the bat logos on the wheels, and is a standard batmobile look.
This set came with a tonne of weapon accessories for the Batman and Joker to fight it out.
Left the market in 2020 after an 18-month life span.
As an investment this set shot up a year after retirement, hitting already £50 within 12 months of retirement, then another year took it to £80.
So was a hugely popular batmobile.

76139 1989 Batmobile
A big set this one, 3300 pieces.
From the classic 1989 film – there is so much to this set, that would sit beautifully on any shelf, with a rotating stand.
Grappling hooks and pop-up machine guns. There is a lot to this set.
It came out end of November 2019 and retired end of 2021.
If you want this set now new, you will be paying close to £500 on Amazon
76188 Batman classic tv series Batmobile
This set is from the TV series and looks very cool with a red border exterior. A commemorative descriptive plate, and two mini-figures, all for a limited price of £29.99
Out between April 2021 and December 2022.
There are shootable blasters with a boot that opens up and can store extra pieces.
Just a year after retirement, the set is now selling for about £60 on Amazon.
76239 The tumbler
Another tumbler this one a much smaller version of the tumbler, and very reasonably priced, £34.99 for this set.
The weaponry is a bit tame with 2 stud shooters but it works very well.
Another set that has shot up in price since retirement, with it currently selling for over £70 on Amazon
42127 The Batman Batmobile.
This set being technic brings a different vibe to the batmobile sets, halfway through this build currently. This is perhaps not the most popular batmobile set, which seemed a struggle to see at the end of its life span.
But it is one hell of a fun build, The lights on this set are cool and give it a cool vibe.
An intricate build that pays homage to The Batman film.
You can still get this set for under RRP at the moment on Amazon.
76224 Batman vs The Joker chase
This set is another take on the 1989 Batmobile, the iconic flames from the exhaust rotate as the car motors along.
Priced reasonably at £42.99 – it has already seen a discount itself on the Lego shop, recently going for 30% off.
Top 2,000 sales rank this is a very popular set as are all batmobiles to be fair.
So this is very much a good mark for a 2024 investment
76240 The tumbler
This Tumbler is very much on my wishlist, it is a very true throwback to the last Tumbler set.
This set is hugely detailed.
It is scheduled to retire this year, it has been out for some time now coming out end of 2021, so will have been out for 3 years.
You can normally pick this up for £180.
Quite the developments we have seen over the years with the batmobiles and will be looking forward to see what is next in store.
