Now is a great time to think about LEGO investing as we enter the final third of the year, many sets retiring soon as they do every year, with enough analysis now to show which are going to be the best investments. To maximise our LEGO investments we want sets that as well as retiring soon, are also collectable and popular, whilst hunting out the best discounts for these sets. Check out this list for ALL the expected 2023 retiring LEGO sets, and my picks for the top investments of each theme.

Here is all of the analysis broken down into each theme with EVERY set that is retiring, and which of those will be good investments in my opinion.

For any investments, LEGO is no different, and the buys depend on your willingness to hold and many other factors, use these tools to make the best decisions for your investments. The database is the best source, showing the length of time on the market and the popularity on Amazon as well.

It gets less likely as the year goes along, but caveat that the retirement dates can and although rarely sometimes change, again this is why we diversify just like any other investment.

Lego icons are always good investments so there are quite a few I would suggest, the popularity of many of these will mean that I would be confident of them doing well. 

Sales rank is important but not the only factor think popularity, collectability and uniqueness, as some of these are not sold readily on Amazon.
25% is a good starting discount price for any of these sets. But also note that discounts on some icon sets are quite rare.

This a hugely popular set, which would make it a good investment and one that should seek a return next year

All Lego speed champions are worthy investments they always do really well after retiring, very cool sets to build and play with and are hugely collectable as well. 

The single sets do tend to do better, but if you can get 76910 at a third off would definitely go for it as well.

These are your safe investments, the majority readily available at 25% off and would consider this a good price to double your money. But if catch great deals and can get them for cheaper, such as on supermarket clearances for these sets it is a gold mine.

This is a great theme to get started with LEGO investing as you are sure to win.

Lego Architecture sets retiring in 2023: Just the one leaving the market

Architecture is always a good investment when you look back and see how it performs. If can pick this set up for 25% off would be very tempting, might not happen though, you look at how other sets have performed and there is great potential here.

The cyber drone would be the pick of the bunch as has been a hugely popular cheaper set, but you will likely to be able to get this at a decent discount on clearances.
