Its previous low last year was £135, whether we get back to the price or not waits to be seen.
But this is a great price.
This set was recently moved to an expected 2024 retirement, so will likely only be around until the end of the year.
Marvel in the sanctum
Popular with many collectors, this is a one of a kind piece, of the home of Doctor Stranges head quarters and the corner stone of many aspects of the franchise.
As expected this set has some great attention to detail, the top floor houses the museum of mystical collections, the middle section contains the library, and on the ground floor there are familiar features both inside and out.
Nine different figures includes Doctor Strange, Wong, Iron Man, Spider-Man, Ebony Maw, Master Mordo, Sinister Strange, Dead Strange and The Scarlet Witch minifigures.
Is this a good investment?
The sanctum is surely a good offering for investment at this price. It is going to be superbly popular with fans of the marvel franchise, and is a very cool collectors set that would sit nicely on many shelves.
As always we need to look at the numbers.
Marvel is a popular theme that often increases in value so this is a good bet.
30% is a good discount for this set as well, however has been a bit lower, we will have to wait and see if we see any further discount to £135 or not.
The average sales rank, although showing about 20,000, it has been out of stock for quite a while on amazon and available discounted else where, but when does go out of stock is selling for about RRP
I think will have to wait out some low sellers once retires, but can see the set comfortably getting to £300+ once the market supply diminishes. As for the next couple of years people will be wanting to pick up.
Because of the price I think this may need to be a longer hold potentially into year 2 post retirement but would then expect it to go up and up.
