LEGO 75345 501st Clone Troopers Battle Packs still as good an investment as always?
Set Overview
The LEGO 501st Clone Troopers Battle Pack (75345) is part of the LEGO Star Wars theme and released in January 2023 with an RRP of £17.99. As an army-builder style set, it attracts repeat purchases from collectors and Star Wars fans, which historically has always meant for great investments in the past.
With retirement expected July 2026, 75345 remains one of the more investment-relevant Star Wars sets in the July 2026 retirement window due to its low entry price and the long-term popularity of Clone Troopers on the secondary market.
Historic Price Behaviour
Battle Packs frequently see discounts through major retailers, and 75345 has typically been available below RRP during sales events. Even with regular discounting, demand has remained strong, which is a positive sign for sets that rely on volume sales and repeat buyers.
Now this set has been available at £10 multiple times durings it life span and therefore I would be wanting the same price if I were to buy now.
I have already stacked quite a few of these sets at this price already, so won’t be going much over £10 for this set again.
Investment Thoughts
- Army-builder set (often purchased in multiples)
- Clone Troopers historically perform well post-retirement
- Low entry price makes it easy to accumulate at discount
- Star Wars demand is consistently strong in the secondary market
Clone Troopers are among the most consistently in-demand Star Wars minifigures, and “army building” creates a repeat-buyer dynamic that many other sets don’t have. This is one of the reasons Battle Packs can perform well once retail supply disappears — especially if there are no direct replacements available after retirement.
The main risk is high production volume. Popular Battle Packs can be produced heavily, so the best strategy is typically buying only at strong discounts and being patient on the hold period rather than expecting a rapid post-retirement spike.
Years ago, battle packs would shoot up in price at a rapid pace post retirement. (Similar to speed champions) However of late it has taken longer to get to desireable price. Likely due to more sellers on the market, and other battle packs being available.
Comparable Retired Sets
- 75359 Ahsoka’s clone trooper battle pack – This set retired in 2024 so has been off the market for a little over a year. Again i would have wanted to pick up for £10-12.
It went up swiftly to £22 post retirement, and has settled for £25-26 for the last 6 months. Its again a solid return.
- 75320 Snow trooper battle pack retired in 2023. And again within the year went up to £23, as kept going further into year 2 up to £27.

BrickAnalyst Verdict
✅ Buy under: £10 mark
⏳ Hold period: 1-2 years post retirement
