Several popular LEGO sets are expected to retire in July 2026, including several high-demand models across various Themes; Icons, Star Wars, Speed Champions, Marvel and Technic. Normally, only a few Lego sets retire in July, but with a bumper list of sets retiring in July as well, there are some extra opportunities for potential quicker returns.
This investment watchlist highlights sets currently showing strong sales performance and ongoing demand, helping LEGO investors identify potential opportunities before retirement discounts begin and retail availability starts to decline.

Retirement date and its importance
LEGO sets typically see their largest discounts during the final months before retirement. For investors, this period often represents the last opportunity to buy at favourable prices before supply disappears and secondary market prices begin to increase.
While not every retiring set performs well, those with strong demand and consistent sales rankings historically have the best long-term investment potential. But there is no point buying a really popular set that is still going to be on the market for another 2 years.
