First 42136 – this is a very popular set, has been out since mid-2022, so two and a half year shelf life makes sense for this set that is expected to retire end of year.
It is always hugely popular set this one, in the top 2,000 sales rank on Amazon. Buying 2 for £30 puts the discount at 40% which is huge for a technic set of this popularity.
Technic is always a popular theme and John Deere has that same element of collectability. With this set thus being popular and sought after for grown-ups and kids.

Next, we have 76244 – Marvel Super heroes set. The RRP for this set is £19.99 so getting 2 for a tenner each is a huge discount. Again very popular set, with great sales rank. Popular set and theme.
Star Wars battle packs are always a very solid buy. My target buy price for this set was £12 now this has gone down to just £10 per set, this is a huge discount.
People want to build armies, so these battle packs are always popular in the aftermarket. At £10 buy price I would be confident of a good return.
75266 and 75267 retired in 2021, and quickly saw their price jump through the roof. Both of these were in the 2 for £15 Argos deal so similar vibe and both easily made over 100% return on these sets.
