Which are the best Lego Star Wars investments in 2024
Star Wars is a massively popular theme, hugely collectable, and this means it is great for Lego investing, but with so many different sets, it can be hard to see the best investments, this year brings a new crop of sets expected to retire at the end of the year, and these are the sets that are on my watchlist and more importantly why. All of the following are expected to retire this year but retirement dates can be expected to change.
75304 Darth Vader Helmet RRP £69.99
The Darth Vader Helmet has been out for some time now and is extremely likely to uphold its 2024 retirement, anyone who has been investing in Lego the last few years will know how well the Star Wars helmets do. None will be more ominous on the shelves of Star Wars fans, than Darth Vader.
It is a very popular set sitting in the top 1000 sales rank for toys on Amazon.
It is also going to be hugely collectable, and unique I don’t see another Darth Vader coming out, so when this retires this will be it.
The target buy price for this set would be around £50 or below which we have hit numerous times.

75333 Obi wan kenobis jedi starfighter RRP £29.99
Another hugely popular set, one of the most popular sets on the market at the moment. Space ships and crafts always do well, it being a very notable ship as well, flown by Obi-Wan Kenobi, again it will be popular with collectors and children as well.
If we look again at past similar sets we will see the likelihood of this performing equally.
75281 could be picked up for £16 whilst on the market it quickly shot up well above £80 a year after retirement and now is over £100
This set is very reasonably priced and will be easy to hit over 100% ROI after fees, although I am expecting more.
The target buy price for this set will be £20 – it is readily available at around £22 so that extra couple of quid which I expect to see a few times over the year will make it even easier to hit those margins.
The only risk here is that the set could get bumped on its retirement, but at present, it has been down to leave the market this year and this would fit in with similar sets life spans

75345 Star Wars 501st Clone Troopers Battle PackRRP £17.99
Battle packs do well as often collectors want to grow their armies, and these sets are perfect for that, giving them a great value for the number of figures you get.
Over the last few years, I have seen 100% returns on a number of these sets. The only issue is they will be highly invested in, so a bit of patience, until the stock dwindles will be needed
Normally I would want to get these sets for around a third off so the £12 mark, and again this is a good buy-in price, however, we have seen this year already them be in the Amazon and Argos 2 for 20 meaning you can get them for £10 each.
This would now be my new target buy price and will be grabbing as many as can over the year.

75351 Star Wars Princess Leia (Boushh) HelmetRRP £59.99
Another helmet this one, which will expect to do well, this set is exclusive to Argos / Sainsburys so the sales rank needs less attention. However we see it selling above RRP on Amazon currently, as the availability dwindles next year, this will be a wise set to invest in. However discount is again important anything around 25% off or more is a good price for this one.
We can compare to the dark trooper helmet last year which was a similarly exclusive set, some of which I bought at RRP, some at a discount when available.

75346 Star Wars Pirate Snub Fighter
Another spaceship set that is expected to do well, I have picked up a few already this year, it is again hugely popular and bought at a good discount expect this to rise high, to snap up 100% return. 
Wouldn’t be paying any more than £20 for this set and we may be able to get a few cheaper than that as well, as we have already.
The lifespan on this set is quite short so again, there is a risk that it could get bumped, so will likely go in harder later in the year when we know more.

75368 / 75369 / 75370 Mech sets Darth Vader, Boba Fett, Storm Trooper £12.99
These mechs came out in 2023, and although we have not seen Star Wars mechs in the past, we know a couple of things, firstly we know that these are hugely popular sets and very well-priced.
We also can look across at the Marvel mechs in the past and see how well they are doing.
You can pick these up quite a lot for £10 but am really looking to snap up at about the £7-8 mark. These products will be highly produced. And likely highly invested in, so perhaps a bit of patience is needed to hold out for the desired return. But would be hoping within the year after retirement we would see 100% return again. But remember will need a higher margin for the return.
75347 Star Wars TIE Bomber RRP £59.99
The tie bomber, last year one of my favourite sets to pick up was 75300 the tie bomber which was a huge investment, already it has performed very well post-retirement, and it has only been two months, I expect further great things from it, reaching well over 100%
This set is similarly expected to be very popular and can see selling for £100+ within a year of retirement, we will want to snap this one up for anything less than £40, currently grabbed a couple at £36 on a clearance from supermarkets, but happy at £40 and will expect to see these prices a few times.
2 years this set would have been on the market I would not be surprised to see it go to next year, but that is my cautious head talking, and is the only short-term risk with this set.

Other mentions
There are a couple of other sets that would be well up my list and are currently scheduled to retire. But only coming out halfway through 2023 they are more likely than the ones above to spend another year on the market, but well worth also looking at 75359 and 75360
